The Residence in Great Yarmouth is the newest, most upmarket addition to the resorts night time attractions. Situated on Marine Parade behind the Hollywood Cinemas on the sea front the former Rosies nightclub has been transformed into the most unique and luxurious nightclub in town. The Residence is a new concept for the resort, not just a dance floor, it has comfortable fabulous seating and you can actually talk a-mid a fantastic atmosphere. A lot like a five star exotic hotel lounge.

The Residence’s sumptuous décor and decoration has huge circus paintings by local artist Bruer Tidman, hand crafted furniture and lamps from Marrakech, original features like a giant specially created wall clock and unique antique furniture pieces and even its own well-stocked library recalling a bygone age.

We have been working hard for the past month cleaning, arranging furniture, repairing the dance floor, lighting, Dj booth, bars and....... the list has been vast and the works will continue till opening.

We have concentrated on the VIP Bar as we have been told that the local celebrities can't wait for the building to be back in business.  The long bar has been made a little smaller so that we could add more magical twinking lighting to the entire dance and stage area.

So far we have taken 3 booking from major celebs to hold small gatherings, they will take place from January onwards. We have managed to book 2 major top UK artists - keep looking out for the event dates.

Our aim is to bring nights filled with fun and interesting music from the past to cater for the generation who loved to dance and tap toes. There should be a good selection of Motown, Ska, 50', 60's, 70's & 80's music available on the nights we do not have bands and acts on.

Michael, the new Manager has had many years of experience in the music and night club field, we hope that his many contacts will bring new and interesting acts and bands to Great Yarmouth.

The Club will be opening with local security in place to ensure that all our customers have the most enjoyable and entertaining night every visit!

We would love to hear about great nights you and other family or friends have had in the past at The Residence. 

The wonderful mirror & clocks given to the club from the film Alice in Wonderland will remain on the seaview wall for all to see.

We plan to to keep most things the way they are - there are great pictures of some major stars.

In 2008 they headlined the opening night of Fordham Festival! This year, (2010) they have recently played Fordham Festival once again, with some some very well received feedback, this time as main support to xSimple Minds, playing our Pink Floyd set, with multi-coloured laser & light show!
