About Glasses 4 Eyes
Our aim
Our aim is to save money for the UK public on the purchase cost of their prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses.Rather than only having one pair of glasses due to the (until now) prohibitive cost of buying additional pairs wouldn't it be nice to have a pair for driving, a pair for watching TV, a pair for playing golf in, or simply different styles to suit your mood on the day ?
The days of high prices on the high street may still be here, but now you have a genuine alternative and the opportunity to save a lot of money.
Glasses 4 Eyes supplies high quality glasses tailor made to your prescription for as little as £15 - including hard coated lenses, cleaning cloth and case.
No need to worry about quality...
Our laboratory actually supplies many high street retailers already, but by ordering through Glasses 4 Eyes you can cut out the huge margins the high street retailers currently build in to their costs. Our laboratory employs the services of general Optical Council Registered Dispensing Opticians who supervise the dispensing of all our glasses. The two directors of our laboratory alone have over 50 years of experience between them.
All of our frames have CE marks (ie confirming that they fulfil all essential safety and environmental requirements as defined in applicable European Directives). Our frames also conform to ENV 14027, and International Standards Organisation number 12870.
No need to worry about security...
Your payment and order details are sent across a secure connection that uses a high-grade encryption certificate. This means that the information is encrypted and cannot be read by anyone other than ourselves. You can see that the pages are secure because the first part of the address in the address bar changes from being http:// to https:// on pages where you can enter sensitive information. You will also see a padlock symbol or key in the bottom bar of your browser.Prescription Glasses

There are various other options available on the online order form - for example you can even select a graduated tint !
Choice 2 features all of the spectacle frames on the website. Transitions® Lenses
ALL of the frames (except for the sunglasses frames) shown on our website can be supplied with photosensitive lenses - ie they change from virtually clear in normal light to tinted under bright light.
We tend to use 2 x types of lenses - Transitions® Lenses or Sunsensors Lenses - which we use depends upon your prescription and certain other lens choices you make at the time of ordering. As far as you, the customer, is concerned both lens types are essentially the same as eachother.
The additional costs can vary but they are typically just £39 for Single Vision Prescription Lenses (£75 for Bifocal Prescription Lenses).
We can also Re-Glaze your existing frames with Transitions® Lenses
Transitions® lenses are perfect all round lenses, offering everyday use with fantastic visual acuteness as well as 100% UV protection and glare reduction.
They are ideal for most people’s everyday lives by eliminating the inconvenience of carrying around an extra pair of prescription sunglasses
